August 7 (Renewables Now) - Brazil's power sector regulator Aneel approved on Tuesday seven green projects with a combined capacity of 108.36 MW from the Roraima state auction held on May 31, 2019.
Approvals have been given to three biofuel and four biomass projects that will use wood chips and residue as fuel. Including conventional sources, Aneel authorised nine winners for a total of 263.51 MW of capacity.

All the winning projects have operations scheduled to commence on June 28, 2021, Aneel noted.
