Brazil's power sector watchdog Aneel announced on Monday the licensing of 6 winning projects, totalling 90.02 MW of power from the A-5 energy auction held on April 29.
Aneel's licences confirm the tax regularity and the legal, technical, economic and financial qualifications of the projects.
With 6 different owners, the schemes use hydropower, biomass and natural gas as sources and are scheduled to start operation on January 1, 2021. More details are available in the table below.

In all, 528.9 MW of power was secured in the auction, negotiated at an average price of BRL 198.59 per MWh (USD 59.18/EUR 53.42). As of now, Aneel has licensed 18 of the 29 winning projects.
