Brazil hydrous ethanol retail prices remain stable last week
Nov 13, 2012 - Hydrous ethanol prices at Brazil's fuel stations remained stable last week compared to the previous week, at an average BRL 1.888 (USD 0.921/EUR 0.726) per litre, data released by Brazil's oil industry watchdog ANP showed.
The average petrol (gasoline) price, in turn, registered a rise of 0.29%, to BRL 2.746 a litre.
The most expensive ethanol and petrol were sold in northern Acre state, for BRL 2.567 and BRL 3.129 a litre respectively.
Last week, ethanol was more competitive than petrol in southeastern Sao Paulo, central-western Mato Grosso, central Goias and southern Parana states, ANP said.
Sao Paulo continued to have the cheapest ethanol in the country, sold for BRL 1.746 a litre on average.
