Brazil energy min includes six wind parks in REIDI
(ADPnews) - Dec 20, 2010 - Brazil's Energy and Mines Ministry on Friday approved the inclusion of six wind parks, located in northeastern Brazil, in the Government's Incentive Regime for Infrastructure Development REIDI.
The parks are Asa Branca IV, Asa Branca V and Asa Branca VI, which have an installed capacity of 30.7 MW each, Caetite 2 and Renascenca V, of 30 MW each, and Casa Nova, which has a potential of 180 MW.
Asa Branca IV and Renascenca V are located in Parazinho, Rio Grande do Norte state.
Asa Branca V and Asa Branca VI are located in Joao Camara, in the same state.
Caetite 2 is situated in Caetite, Bahia state, and Casa Nova, in Casa Nova, again Bahia.
REIDI, launched in 2007, grants tax incentives to companies investing in infrastructure, transportation, sanitation and irrigation projects.
