Brazil Energy min includes four Santa Catarina wind parks in REIDI
(ADPnews) - Oct 13, 2010 - Brazil's Mines and Energy ministry included four wind parks, located in southern Santa Catarina state, in the Government's Incentive Regime for Infrastructure Development REIDI.
The first unit included is EOL Rio de Ouro, which has capacity of 30 MW. The project, owned by Rio de Ouro Energia Eolica, is located in the Bom Jardim da Serra municipality.
Equal potential has the second newcomer to the regime, Cruz Alta. The unit, which belongs to Cruz Alta Energia Eolica, is installed in the municipality of Agua Doce.
The same municipality hosts the remaining two wind parks, which are EOL Amparo and EOL Cascata.
The 22.5 MW EOL Amparo is owned by Amparo Energia Eolica.
EOL Cascata, of Cascata Energia Eolica, has a potential of 6 MW.
REIDI, launched in 2007, grants tax incentives to companies investing in infrastructure, transportation, sanitation and irrigation projects.
