Brazil energy min includes four green energy projects in REIDI
(ADPnews) - Dec 7, 2010 - Brazil's Ministry of Mines and Energy on Friday included two wind parks and two small-scale hydroelectric power plants (HPPs) in the Government's Incentive Regime for Infrastructure Development REIDI.
Three of the units are located in Brazil's southern Santa Catarina state.
The wind park Bom Jardim is located in the Bom Jardim municipality. It has an installed capacity of 30 MW.
The HPPs Sao Sebastiao and Santo Donner II are located in Major Gercino and Doutor Pedrinho, respectively. The first has a capacity of 9.9 MW and the second -- of 2.89 MW.
The fourth project newcomer to REIDI is EOL Eurus II. The wind park has a capacity of 30 MW and is located in Joao Camara, in the northeastern Rio Grande do Norte state.
REIDI, launched in 2007, grants tax incentives to companies investing in infrastructure, transportation, sanitation and irrigation projects.
