(SeeNews) - Nov 12, 2013 - Brazilian electricity sector regulator Aneel yesterday allowed the test operation of six turbines at the 30-MW Atlantica V wind power plant.
The project comprises 10 turbines and an adjacent transmission system. The plant has been declared a priority project by the energy and mines ministry, which means that it is authorised to raise funds through the issue of infrastructure debentures which feature some tax incentives.
The park, together with three other plants, namely Atlantica I, II and IV, is part of a 120-MW wind complex in Palmares do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul state. The complex was acquired by Brazilian CPFL Renovaveis in 2012.
