(SeeNews) - Nov 12, 2013 - Brazilian electricity sector regulator Aneel yesterday cleared the commercial operation of two turbines, of 25 MW capacity each, at the biomass thermoelectric power plant (TPP) Bio Alvorada.<br /> The plant is located in the Arapora, in the southeastern Minas Gerais state. It is owned by Brazilian renewable energy developer CPFL Renovaveis (SAO:CPRE3).<br /> The watchdog also gave approval to the commercial operation of the second turbine, of 35 MW, at the Viralcool Castilho sugar-cane bagasse fuelled thermal plant. The facility is located in Castilho municipality, southeastern Sao Paulo state. It has an overall capacity of 50 MW.
