June 13 (Renewables Now) - Vietnamese solar manufacturer Boviet Solar on Monday said it has signed a contract to supply 255 MW of photovoltaic (PV) modules for a utility-scale solar project in the US.

The customer is an unnamed global renewable energy developer.

Boviet Solar, whose US headquarters are located in San Jose, California and which is part of Ningbo Boway Alloy Material Co Ltd (SHA:601137), said it will deliver its Vega Series 550W PERC monocrystalline - bifacial double-class PV modules for the project.

The company added its modules combine high-purity monocrystalline wafer technology with PERC, half-cut, multi-busbar, large cell design.

The manufacturer in March introduced a new brand and logo to position itself as Boviet Solar instead of Boviet Solar USA and Boviet. The company, set up in 2013, also has offices in Germany and China.
