September 12 (Renewables Now) - Vietnamese PV tech specialist Boviet Solar Technology Co Ltd said that it has booked a new order from Origis Energy in the US, this time securing a contract to supply over 400 MW of its PERC modules for a utility-scale project.
The US solar and storage developer again purchased Boviet Solar’s 550-W Vega Series PERC monocrystalline bifacial double-glass PV modules, with the shipment due to arrive in 2023. No details about the projects were released.
The latest supply agreement expands the partnership between Origis and Boviet Solar to over 1.1 GW of solar capacity. Back in July, Origis ordered a batch of over 700 MW of Vega Series panels for another project in the US.
"We are very pleased to build upon our partnership with Boviet, allowing Origis to continue to meet our ever-growing customer demand. A level of demand that will further increase under the Inflation Reduction Act," commented Samir Verstyn, Chief Investment Officer & Chief Operations Officer, Origis Energy.
