Boviet lands master supply deal for 861 MW of PV modules

Vietnamese PV tech specialist Boviet Solar Technology Co Ltd said on Monday it has received a deal from Vesper Energy to supply the US renewables developer with 861 MW of PV modules.

Under the master supply agreement, Vesper Energy has ordered solar modules from Boviet’s Vega series, as well as mono-bifacial PERC double glass PV modules for projects in its near-term portfolio totalling 680 MW. The equipment will be installed across plants in Texas and Ohio.

"We are honored to be awarded this large PV module supply agreement by Vesper Energy. It is another significant milestone for Boviet Solar's achievements in the U.S.A market, where we see the demand for solar energy continue to increase, " said Jimmy Xie, Boviet Solar’s general manager.

Vesper Energy, majority-owned by funds and accounts managed by Magnetar Capital, has an over 12-GW pipeline of solar and energy storage projects in North America. The bundle includes 35 projects, two of which are currently under construction.
