Blue Earth's Xnergy to install 100-kW solar system in California

(SeeNews) - Jun 18, 2012 - US energy efficiency and green energy company Blue Earth Inc (OTC:BBLU) today said its unit Xnergy Inc had secured an engineering, procurement and installation contract of a 100-kW rooftop solar system in Chatsworth, California.

The contract, worth about USD 500,000 (EUR 395,000), comes from Natel Engineering Co Inc, a maker of electronics for the aerospace, defence and medical industries.

The solar installation, to feature 420 panels from Japanese electronics group Sharp Corp (TYO:6753), has been sized to produce 167,027 kWh of electricity per year. Besides generating power savings, the system will help reduce the carbon footprint of the Natel Engineering facilities by saving 3,600 tonnes of carbon dioxide, the announcement said. The system is to be completed next month.

Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) provider Xnergy has so far engineered, built and/or commissioned almost 100 MW of traditional and alternative energy systems, Blue Earth said.
