BioSolar signs sales representative deal with S Korean ShinHa

Sep 6, 2011 - US bio-based solar module components maker BioSolar Inc (OTC:BSRC) today said it had signed a sales representative agreement with South Korean trader ShinHa Inc.

ShinHa represents large Asian photovoltaic (PV) producers targeting sales in the North American solar market, BioSolar said.

BioSolar's CEO David Lee said the competition among manufacturers for alternative low-cost PV components was driving demand for the company's products. Lee added that BioSolar's BioBacksheet had received the BioPreferred certificate from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), which led to increased interest interest for the product from PV panel makers seeking exports to the US.
