April 11 (SeeNews) - The bidding price declined further in Germany’s fourth solar power tender, which targeted 125 MW of capacity and received bids for about 540 MW.

The Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagetur) said today it has shortlisted 21 bids with a combined capacity of 128 MW. The tender attracted 108 offers in total, 31 of which were for projects on agricultural land, where agricultural production is hampered by natural handicaps.

The average price achieved in the tender was of EUR 0.0741 (USD 0.084) per kWh. The Bundesnetzagetur again used the pay-as-bid model for that round. The contracts with the winning project developers have not yet been concluded.

The winning bidders in Germany’s third solar power tender got contracts at EUR 0.080 per kWh.
