February 21 (Renewables Now) - Danish solar power producer Better Energy A/S has secured two large-scale solar projects in Poland with a combined capacity of 48 MW, the company said earlier this week.

Better Energy was awarded the solar capacity in a tender run by the Polish government at the end of last year. The company noted that this was the first time that large-scale solar projects were awarded in a tender in Poland.

The company's portfolio of solar projects in Poland has a total capacity of over 1 GW, according to the statement.

“We have driven change in the Polish market and built a solid position, but there is potential to do much more. Our solutions are integrable, scalable, and we can deploy them on market terms. Market awareness is key,” said Better Energy's EVP for Project Finance and Project Development, Christoffer Fruergaard Larsen.
