Swiss sustainable infrastructure investment company B Capital Partners AG has acquired the Reuth solar park of 10 MW which is currently being built by project developer Green City AG in the German state of Bavaria.
The asset was acquired for the B Capital Energy Transition Infrastructure SICAV-SIF fund, the buyer said on Thursday.
Construction of the photovoltaic plant started in July and is expected to be completed within four months with commissioning planned for the beginning of December. The electricity generated by the park will supply 3,500 households.
The solar park was developed by Green City which has four more solar plant projects to be built in 2021.
This is the third asset to be acquired by the Swiss investor from Green City after the purchase of two wind farms.
Munich-based Green City develops and builds wind, hydro and solar plants in Germany, France, Italy and Spain. It has completed 356 renewable energy systems with a total capacity of 248 MW and has a further 800 MW in its project pipeline.
