January 12 (Renewables Now) - Independent portfolio management firm Axium Infrastructure has acquired a 49% stake in a 396-MW wind-and-solar plants portfolio in Ontario from Cordelio Power.

Specifically, Axium has bought into the Denfield portfolio, which consists of four wind farms and two solar parks located in the southwestern part of the province.

"Axium's technical and other capabilities will complement our own as these important assets continue to support Ontario's energy transition,” commented Rob Roberti, Cordelio's chief financial officer.

Cordelio Power is a renewable power producer that is fully owned by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, or CPP Investments. The firm manages more than 1,000 MW of renewables across North America, including the aforementioned assets, which it will continue to manage.
