(SeeNews) - Jan 2, 2014 - Austria reduced the feed-in tariffs for building-integrated solar power plants by 28% to EUR 0.125 (USD 0.172) per kWh as of January 2014, Austrian photovoltaic association PVA said.
The energy ministry also decreased the feed-in tariffs for wind, hydropower and bioenergy by 1% as its budget for 2014 for the promotion of renewable energy was cut by EUR 1 million to EUR 48 million.
The feed-in tariff for ground-mounted solar parks was reduced to EUR 0.10 from EUR 0.17 per kWh. In addition, solar systems with a capacity of up to 350 kW will be eligible for the feed-in tariffs, instead of up to 500 kW so far.
PVA criticised the government for presenting the changes in the solar remuneration rates only two weeks before their implementation and called for reforms in the renewable energy law.
