Arizona Public Service seeks builder for 32-MW PV plant
Aug 8, 2012 - US power utility Arizona Public Service (APS), a unit of Pinnacle West Capital (NYSE:PNW), today disclosed the issue of a request for proposals (RFP) for the installation of a 32-MW photovoltaic (PV) plant in the state.
The utility will start the RFP on August 22. It invited interested solar system developers and installers to a web seminar on August 29.
APS will own and operate the PV plant, which is to be completed in 2014. The park is expected to produce enough power to supply some 8,000 households.
The project will be financed under the utility's five-year AZ Sun Programme for funding solar power plants with a target of at least eight operational plants by the end of 2015.
