Argo Infrastructure invests in 114-MW C&I solar portfolio

February 6 (Renewables Now) - Funds managed by Argo Infrastructure Partners have invested in a 114-MW commercial & industrial (C&I) solar portfolio in the US, it was announced on Tuesday.

The portfolio in question includes 134 sites in 12 states, with each plant having long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) in place. All included facilities had entered into operation in the period 2015-2018. They were constructed, financed and will continue to be managed by Onyx Renewable Partners LP.

The news was unveiled by Marathon Capital LLC, which worked with Argo on its due diligence and financing of the move. The announcement did not disclose the size of the investment, but, according to Marathon managing partner Terry Grant, it was substantial.

Aaron Gold, managing director at Argo, commented that the investment manager intends to expand this initial portfolio with further commitments to the C&I field.
