Argentine Neuquen sets discussion on 75-MW wind project for Jun
May 30, 2014 - The government of Argentine Neuquen province, through its investment agency ADI-NQN, has invited local residents to a public discussion about a 75-MW wind power project on June 6.
The project, named Los Pocitos, will be developed near Zapala city to supply renewable energy to the provincial grid, the government said on Wednesday. The project comprises two sub-parks in the Subida del Capo area and the installation of a total 25 wind turbines.
In the last years, German wind farm developer Sowitec carried out technical and feasibility studies for the Los Pocitos project. At an auction in 2010, the company won the right to evaluate the wind in Subida del Capo.
