Argentine Neuquen province calls new tender for wind resources measurements
Aug 5, 2011 - Argentina's western Neuquen province announced a new tender for the measurement of wind resources yesterday, offering investors the possibility to develop wind power projects in four areas.
The tender documents will be sold as of August 10.
The winners will measure the wind resource on their own expenses and will be allowed to build wind farms if the resources are sufficient.
Neuquen awarded 14 plots in similar tenders in 2009 and 2010. Until now, the results have shown favourable conditions for the installation of at least five wind farms, according to Neuquen's investment promotion agency ADI-NQN.
