Argentine Neuquen invites public to discuss 50-MW wind project - report
Argentina's Neuquen province has set a public discussion in Zapala city about the 50-MW La Americana wind project for July 2, regional daily Rio Negro said Monday.
Neuquen's investment agency ADI-NQN will present the project and will hear opinions. The wind farm will comprise 25 Enercon turbines on a state-owned plot north of the city, along with associated transmission installations.
The project is managed by Wpd Argentina SA, a unit of German Wpd AG, and its partner Sociedad Argentina de Energia SA (Sadesa), according to information on ADI-NQN's website.
Until now, the Neuquen province has auctioned 14 plots for wind power studies, some of which have already concluded and the investors are looking for financing. German Sowitec and ABO Wind were also among the companies that studied local areas in the last years.
