June 24 (Renewables Now) - Argentine power producer Genneia SA has chosen Carlos Palazon as its new chief financial officer (CFO), the company announced this week.

The new finance head was previously an advisor in the investment fund Pointstate Argentum LLC and a member of Genneia’s board.

The company said that the CFO will succeed Bernardo Andrews, who has assumed the helm of the company in the role of CEO.

Palazon has previously served as a portfolio manager in the investment group Consultatio Asset Management and also as a founding partner of the investment fund CIMA Investments.

At present, the Argentine company has 866 MW of installed renewables capacity and the majority of that comes from wind parks, data from Genneia’s investor website shows.
