Argentina signs 210 MW of RenovAr round 2 contracts

July 13 (Renewables Now) - Argentina has signed four contracts with winners of the RenovAr 2 renewable energy auction for a combined capacity of 210.32 MW.

The contracts, concerning one wind, one biomass and two biogas projects, were signed with the Argentine government, the Undersecretariat for Renewable Energy at the Ministry of Energy and Mines announced on Thursday.

Of the total 88 winning projects, 33 have now signed contracts, which represent 881.52 MW of installed capacity. In its three tenders, Argentina awarded 147 green energy projects to be installed in 21 provinces with 4,466.5 MW of combined capacity, the Undersecretariat noted.
