Argentina gives ethanol quota to three local firms

Oct 22, 2012 - Argentina's government today assigned ethanol supply quota for the local market to local firms Biosantafe, Diaser and Balba Bio Energias, the federal planning ministry said.
The first firm will supply 100,000 cu m (3.5m cu ft) of ethanol a year as of February 2014, while Diaser and Balba will supply 82,500 and 105,000 cu m a year as of July 2013 and March 2015, respectively. The ethanol will be produced by new plants and will be used for blending.
The quota were assigned by the energy secretariat with a resolution published in the state gazette today.
