Archers Systems to target thin-film, HIT solar cell makers - report
Jul 16, 2012 - Taiwan-based Archers Systems, a provider of equipment for solar products, displays and integrated circuits, will seek to attract as customers producers of thin-film solar and heterojunction with intrinsic thin layer (HIT) solar cells.
Archers provides full-process equipment that can help thin-film solar product makers cut equipment depreciation costs, news service ETMAG.com reported today, citing the company.
The company is some 20%-owned by Chinese state-owned CECEP Solar Energy. It's customers include Taiwanese NexPower Technology Corp, part of semiconductor maker United Microelectronics Corp (TPE:2303), SunWell Solar, a unit of Taiwan's CMC, Chinese Hanergy and CECEP Solar Energy, and US industrial conglomerate DuPont (NYSE:DD).
