Apex Energy inaugurates green hydrogen plant in Germany

June 30 (Renewables Now) - German engineering and cleantech firm Apex Energy Teterow GmbH has inaugurated a green hydrogen production plant in Laage that will provide electricity and heating to the headquarters of the Apex Group and a commercial area.

Hydrogen production and distribution equipment supplier McPhy Energy SA (EPA:MCPHY) said in a statement today it has installed a 2-MW electrolysis platform for the particular facility.

More specifically, the plant is equipped with the McLyzer 400-30 electrolyser, which can produce over 300 tonnes of zero-carbon hydrogen per year from renewable energy sources.

McPhy noted that this project is part of 41 MW of high-power electrolysis capacity currently in operation, under installation or under development by the company.
