Aleo Solar supplies modules for 1-MW PV project in southern France
Dec 12, 2011 - German photovoltaic (PV) technology firm Aleo Solar (ETR:AS1) said today it had supplied 1 MW of its roof-integrated photovoltaic modules for a project in Aveyron, southern France.
The Solrif modules, framed with custom aluminium profiles, substitute traditional roofing materials.
The solar power facility, which was installed by Aleo's partner Eiffage Energie Quercy Rouergue Gevaudan, includes 5,261 modules. It is estimated to produce 1 GWh a year and to save 360 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. The power plant was connected to the grid near the end of October.
