Ailing Belgian solar firm Enfinity looking for buyer - report

Jul 26, 2013 - Belgian solar panel firm Enfinity has been looking for investors to secure its future operations, daily De Tijd reported today.

According to the paper, the company is in talks with potential buyers. A US group and an European player are set to be among the interested parties. Shareholders and creditors would, however, remain with almost empty hands.

Enfinity did not comment on the information, the daily said.

Waregem-based Enfinity was founded in 2005 by Patrick Decuyper and Gino Van Neer and grew up to a mini-multinational with offices worldwide. Ten months ago the company had, however, to implement a firm restructuring.
