Aide Solar to supply modules for 150 MW of solar power projects in California
Jul 13, 2011 - Chinese photovoltaic (PV) modules producer Aide Solar, part of Taiwanese Panjit group, yesterday said it would supply solar modules to independent power producer Folium Energy for 150 MW of solar projects in California.
Folium Energy will use the modules to install ground-mounted solar projects at 710 distributed generation sites in 35 counties.
California utilities will purchase the output of the solar systems under the state's Power Purchase Agreement for Small Renewable Generation Feed-in Tariffs programme.
Construction of the projects would start in the last quarter of the year and is expected to take one year, Aide Solar said.
Folium Energy's vice president of operations, Brad Stutzman, said the construction would be carried out in phases. The first phase will have a combined capacity of 15 MW and its development works will start immediately.
