April 8 (Renewables Now) - US firm Advantage Capital Solar Partners III LLC has provided equity financing for five community solar farms totalling 15 MW of capacity in the state of New York.

The solar investment tax credit financing supported Delaware River Solar LLC, a local greenfield community solar developer and operator, Advantage Capital has said.

Financial details have not been disclosed.

The solar farms operate under New York’s Community Distributed Generation programme. They produce a combined 18 million kWh of electricity per year, or enough to power up around 2,200 households.
