Adani Green announces letters of award from SECI for 730 MW

June 21 (Renewables Now) - Over the past couple of days Adani Green Energy Ltd (BOM:541450) announced it has received letters of award (LOAs) for renewable energy projects with a combined capacity of 730 MW in India.

On Wednesday, Adani Green confirmed that its wholly-owned unit Adani Renewable Energy Park (Gujarat) Ltd has won 600 MW of capacity in the hybrid wind-solar tender held by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) last month and has now obtained LOA for the same. The tariff Adani Renewable will get under the power purchase agreement (PPA) is fixed at INR 2.69 (USD 0.039/EUR 0.034) per kWh for a 25-year period. The projects as part of this award are expected to be completed by the final quarter of fiscal 2021.

On Thursday, Adani Green also announced that it has received LOA from SECI for a 130-MW wind project with the same commissioning deadline. This wind farm will benefit from a fixed PPA tariff of INR 2.83/kWh for 25 years.

These projects will be connected to the inter-state transmission system (ISTS).

Adani Green now has 5.29 GW of renewable generation in its local portfolio, including 2.02 GW in operation and 3.27 GW in development.
