ACWA Power signs MoU for 10-GW wind project in Egypt

Saudi investor in water and power plants ACWA Power (TADAWUL:2082) plans to build a 10-GW wind power complex in Egypt.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Tuesday between the company and the Egyptian New and Renewable Energy Authority and the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company.
The signing took place during the visit of Egypt's electricity and renewable energy minister Mohamed Shaker to Riyadh where he met with his Saudi counterpart Abdulaziz bin Salman.
More details were not provided in the press release published by the Saudi Energy Ministry.
During the visit, the top officials discussed the progress in the construction of an interconnector between the two countries and the signing of a memorandum for a bilateral partnership in the areas of renewable energy and clean hydrogen.
