PV tower developer Three Sixty Solar debuts on Canadian bourse
Aug 15, 2022 17:20 CESTNovember 3 (Renewables Now) - Spanish renewables pure-player Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE), doing business as Acciona Energia, and French energy management company Schneider Electric (EPA:SU) have developed the first microgrid for a factory in Spain, the companies said on Tuesday.
The system was installed at Schneider Electric’s plant in Puente la Reina, Spain's northern region of Navarre. The microgrid combines an 852-kWp photovoltaic (PV) array, 80 kWh of battery storage and five charging points for electric vehicles.
The whole system is controlled by Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure EMA software, while Acciona Energia owns the installation and is in charge of its maintenance and management.
Designed under the “energy as a service” approach, this microgrid can be replicated in any industrial plant, the partners added.
