Weekly renewables M&A round-up (Jun 27-Jul 1)
Jul 01, 2022 17:05 CESTJanuary 21 (Renewables Now) - Spanish renewables company Acciona Energia (BME:ANE) has issued a EUR-500-million (USD 567.3m) ten-year green bond, its second issuance after becoming independent from the parent group Acciona SA (BME:ANA) last July.
The latest transaction was finalised on Thursday at a spread of 98 basis points over mid-swap, with a 1.387% yield for investors, Acciona Energia said.
The bond will be given a BBB- rating by Fitch and BBB (high) by DBRS, the same as the previous EUR-500-million notes, and will be listed on Euronext Dublin.
“With the success of this second bond placement, Acciona Energia is making progress on one of the main goals of its IPO: to ensure an optimal cost of financing in order to maximize the value generated by its growth plan,” the company said.
The renewables pure-player plans to invest EUR 7.8 billion to grow its installed capacity to 20 GW by 2025 from 10.7 GW it had in 2020, it added.
