Acciona Energia Chile files environmental impact declaration for 51-MW wind project
Dec 31, 2012 - Acciona Energia Chile, the local energy unit of Spanish renewable and infrastructure firm Acciona (MCE:ANA), filed on Friday an environmental impact declaration for the construction of а 51-MW wind power plant Pililin.
The plant will have 17 turbines with capacity of 3 MW each. They will be connected to a medium-voltage power substation via a 22 km (13.7 mile) transmission line, which also falls within the scope of the declaration. The line will transmit the plant's future output to the existing power substation Valdivia for supply to the country's central interconnected power system SIC.
Acciona Energia Chile will invest USD 90 million (EUR 68.1m) in the project and the declaration will be analysed by the regulatory bodies by June 20, 2013.
