August 1 (Renewables Now) - German renewables developer ABO Wind AG has sold certain wind and solar projects in Spain with a combined capacity of 450 MW to a couple of unnamed local investors.
ABO Wind said that these projects have grid connection rights and are expected to be completed by 2022. The German firm is responsible for planning, assessments, site acquisition and all approvals.
"The most recent transactions demonstrate the excellent performance of our Spanish team, which is working on further wind and solar projects with a capacity of more than 1,000 megawatts," commented managing director Karsten Schlageter.
In the meantime, ABO Wind has also hooked to the Hungarian grid a solar power plant located in Letavertes. According to the announcement, 5 MW are entitled to receive a tariff of HUF 32 (USD 0.108/EUR 0.098) per kWh over a period of 20 years under the KAT system, which has now been discontinued.
Hungary is currently developing an auction system for future solar projects. ABO Wind noted that it is working on additional projects in the country with a combined capacity of 40 MW, all with a guaranteed KAT tariff. Furthermore, it is developing projects that will be eligible to take part in the planned auctions.
