As many as 12 companies and consortia have been pre-qualified in a 250-MW solar tender in Ethiopia as part of the World Bank Group's Scaling Solar programme.
The tender, being conducted by Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP), has attracted proposals from a total of 28 developers willing to develop and install of two photovoltaic (PV) power projects of 125 MW each.
Selected bidders will be invited to take part in the final part of the competitive selection, which will assess proposals primarily on the basis of the lowest offered tariff. The full list of pre-qualified candidates can be seen in the table.
