April 5 (Renewables Now) - The Quantum Energy Partners-backed clean energy investment platform, 547 Energy International LLC, has made a USD-250-million (EUR 228m) equity funding commitment to Irish renewable energy developer Aer Soleir.

The team behind Dublin-based Aer Soleir is engaged in actively sourcing development-stage onshore wind, solar and energy storage projects across the European Union. It is led by the former CEO of Mainstream Renewable Power, namely Andy Kinsella, and Manus O’Donnell as chief financial officer. Both are founding partners as well.

“We have built a world-class team that is fostering early-stage development and guiding projects successfully through licensing, financing, engineering, construction and operation,” commented CEO Kinsella.

Apart from the Irish firm, 547 Energy also has investments in ConnectGen, BlueFloat Energy, certain affiliates of Enora SA, and NetOn.
