Green hydrogen developer Hydrogen of Dutch Origin (H2DO) has officially launched a project to deliver concept design for a 30-50 MW offshore green hydrogen installation in the Dutch North Sea.

The Polish unit of Franco-Swiss cement giant Holcim has successfully carried out a technological test to prove that it is possible to produce cement using only alternative fuels and completely eliminating coal from the energy balance of the clinker firing process.

If current political commitments were built, offshore wind farms would cover around 11% of the North Sea by 2050 compared to about 1% of the basin today, according to a study led by Heriot‑Watt University.
