Finnish construction company YIT Oyj (HEL:YIT) said today it has sold the project rights for the fully-permitted, 90-MW Murtomäki wind farm to the Alandsbanken Wind Power Fund.
YIT developed the project itself and will build it for the buyer under newly-signed contracts. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
The wind park will be constructed at a site in the town of Pyhäjärvi in Northern Ostrobothnia, where, upon completion, its 15 turbines will produce enough electricity to supply about 15,000 single-family houses a year.
The Alandsbanken Wind Power Fund mainly targets fully-permitted, shovel-ready or operational wind assets in the Nordics. Murtomäki is the special fund’s first investment, according to the announcement.
YIT noted that it has about 100 other wind projects under development.
