January 11 (Renewables Now) - German wind project developer WKN AG, part of PNE Wind AG (ETR:PNE3), has sold two French wind projects, a completed 9-MW wind farm and a project of up to 12 MW scheduled for construction in 2019.

The buyer is Quaero European Infrastructure Fund of Geneva-based asset manager Quaero Capital. The sale was completed at the end of 2017, PNE Wind said today.

It includes the Longeves wind farm in western France, consisting of three Nordex N117 wind turbines, that was commissioned at the end of 2017. PNE Wind recently said that because of the sale of this project its 2017 consolidated earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) will likely be at the upper end of guidance.

The second project, called Riaucourt, is located in northeastern France and will feature five turbines with total capacity of up to 12 MW, depending on the model that will be selected. The sale of this project will have an effect on the 2018 financial results, PNE Wind said.
