January 8 (Renewables Now) - German wind project developer WKN GmbH, part of PNE (ETR:PNE3), has disposed of the project rights for three wind parks in France with a combined capacity of 27 MW.

The buyer of the assets is the Quaero European Infrastructure Fund of Geneva-based asset manager Quaero Capital, PNE said on Monday without providing financial details of the deal. The German group noted that the French wind market is “increasingly gaining significance” for its business.

The sale includes the six-turbine Dameraucourt and the three-turbine Dargies II wind farms located in northern France, as well as the three-turbine Maisonnais facility in Nouvelle Aquitaine region, western France.

At the start of 2018, Quaero bought two wind assets from WKN -- a completed 9-MW wind farm and a project of up to 12 MW scheduled for construction in 2019. Following the latest deal, its wind portfolio will expand to 100 MW of operational and under-construction plants.
