(ADPnews) - Oct 20, 2010 - US wind turbine maker WindTamer Corp (OTC:WNDT) said on Tuesday it expected to book orders of around USD 15 million (EUR 11m) to USD 25 million in 2011.
The company provides the guidance now, as it recognises revenue after the installation is complete. "We are making this estimate at this time to give our stockholders our best current assessment of our 2011 prospects," CEO William A. Schmitz said.
The company's Power on Demand system, which combines wind turbines with storage systems, is expected to account for a significant portion of 2011 orders. The system stores electricity so that it could be used during peak hours. They are to be sold for USD 500,000 to USD 1 million. The company's first "Power on Demand" system will be stationed at a glass producing plant in New York this quarter, WindTamer said.
