July 12 (Renewables Now) - US composite wind blades manufacturer TPI Composites Inc (NASDAQ:TPIC) said today it has acquired a Berlin-based team of engineers from the Senvion-owned Euros Group.

The acquired team includes about 20 technical specialists with expertise in blade design, tooling, materials and process technology development.

“The EUROS transaction helps strengthen our technical capabilities in support of our global operations and growth,” commented William Siwek, president of TPI. COO Ramesh Gopalakrishnan, in turn, noted that this transaction will allow the company to apply its technical know-how in blade engineering and mold design on a broader scale.

Scottsdale, Arizona-based TPI runs factories across the US, China, Mexico, Turkey and India. In addition, the company has engineering development centres in Denmark and Germany.
