Vestas to supply 99 MW of wind turbines for US project
Oct 13, 2011 - Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) said today it would deliver 55 units of its V100-1.8 MW turbine for the US Anacacho project of E.on Climate & Renewables North America, part of German multi-utility E.on AG (ETR:EOAN)
Vestas will supply and commission the turbines and will as well provide five-year service and maintenance. The turbines are due for delivery in mid-2012, while commissioning is scheduled for late 2012.
The Anacacho wind farm, located in the US state of Texas, will produce enough electricity for the needs of 30,000 households, according to Vestas.
So far in 2011, Vestas has received eight orders in North America, totalling 1.14 GW. The announced order intake year-to-date amounts to 3.925 GW.
