December 5 (Renewables Now) - Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) said on Wednesday that it has received a wind turbine supply order for 101 MW from Finnish wind developer Puhuri Oy.

The Scandinavian company will supply 18 of its EnVentus V162-5.6 MW turbines for the Parhalahti and Hankila projects in Northern Ostrobothnia.

In addition to supplying, installing and commissioning the turbines, the contract includes the VestasOnline Business SCADA solution and an Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement for a period of 25 years.

Vestas is due to deliver the turbines in the third quarter of 2021, while the wind farm is expected to commence power generation in the following quarter.

With this deal, Vestas’ order intake in Finland jumps to over 800 MW this year, with almost 600 MW from the Enventus platform, the company noted.
