Denmark’s Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) said today it has received an order from Swedish wind projects developer Eolus Vind AB (STO:EOLU-B) for eight of its V112-3.3 MW turbines with e combined capacity of 26 MW.
Eolus Vind has contracted Vestas to deliver, install and service the machines as part of the Kungsbacka-Iglasjon wind project in the Vastra Gotaland county in southwestern Sweden. The supplier expects to ship and commission the turbines during the second half of next year.
The value of the deal, which includes a five-year Active Output Management (AOM) 5000 service agreement, was not disclosed.
At present, the Eolus Group owns and operates an installed capacity of 58 MW and produces some 144 GWh of electricity per year. Eolus has erected 477 of the 3,100 wind turbines currently operating in Sweden.
