Dec 29, 2014 - Danish company Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) said on Monday it will supply turbines for the 41.7-MW Lacedonia wind project in southwestern Italy.
The wind turbine manufacturer has received the order from Alisea Srl, which is a unit of German energy group BayWa AG (ETR:BYW6). The terms of the deal call for Vestas to install and commission six of its V110-2.0 MW and nine of its V126-3.3MW machines in the Campania region. The company has also secured a 10-year Active Output Management (AOM 5000) service agreement.
The turbines will be delivered in the third quarter of 2015 and their commissioning is expected to occur by the final quarter of the year. Together, they will be producing some 131,000 MWh annually, enough to cover the consumption of over 113,400 people in Italy, Vestas noted.
